Negroni
A perfect balance of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth — bold, bitter, and sophisticated. It’s Italy’s iconic aperitivo (pre-dinner cocktail).
Ingredients:
1 oz gin
1 oz Campari
1 oz sweet vermouth
Orange peel (for garnish)
Instructions:
Add gin, Campari, and vermouth to a mixing glass with ice.
Stir well for about 20 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with an orange peel twist.
🟠 Tip: For a smoother version, try a Negroni Sbagliato — replace gin with prosecco!
Aperol Spritz
Light, refreshing, and bright orange — made with Aperol, prosecco, and soda water. The go-to summer drink all across Italy.
Ingredients:
3 parts prosecco
2 parts Aperol
1 part soda water
Orange slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
Fill a large wine glass with ice.
Pour in prosecco, then Aperol, then soda water.
Stir gently to combine.
Garnish with an orange slice.
✨ Tip: Serve cold — perfect for summer afternoons!
Limoncello
A sweet, zesty liqueur from the Amalfi Coast made from lemon peels, sugar, and vodka. Typically served chilled after meals.
Ingredients:
10 lemons (preferably organic)
1 bottle (750 ml) of 95% alcohol or high-proof vodka
4 cups water
3 cups sugar
Instructions:
Peel the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
Steep the peels in alcohol in a sealed jar for 7 days.
Strain the liquid, discard peels.
Make a syrup by heating water and sugar until dissolved; cool.
Combine syrup with lemon-infused alcohol.
Bottle and chill for at least a week before serving.
🍋 Tip: Serve ice-cold in small glasses after dinner.
Prosecco Bellini
Italy’s sparkling white wine — crisp, fruity, and often used in cocktails (like the Bellini or Spritz).
Ingredients:
2 oz white peach purée (fresh or frozen)
4 oz chilled prosecco
Instructions:
Pour peach purée into a champagne flute.
Slowly top with prosecco.
Stir gently to mix.
🍑 Tip: Use ripe peaches or a bit of peach nectar for extra flavor.
Espresso
More than a drink — it’s an Italian ritual. Strong, concentrated coffee served in a tiny cup, sipped quickly at the bar.
Ingredients:
Finely ground espresso coffee
Filtered water
Instructions:
Use an espresso machine or Moka pot.
For Moka pot: fill bottom chamber with water, basket with coffee grounds, and heat until coffee rises.
Serve immediately — no milk, no sugar (unless you like it that way).
☕ Tip: Pair with a biscotti or sip standing at the counter like a true Italian!
